The 10th edition of WHX (formerly Medic East Africa) will return to the Kenyatta International Convention Centre (KICC) in Nairobi from September 16–18, 2026, positioning Kenya as the primary commercial gateway for East Africa’s expanding healthcare market. Supported by the Ministry of Health, Kenya, the exhibition connects global manufacturers, hospital networks, distributors, and policymakers to drive healthcare procurement and trade.
The region’s health and wellness sector reached $16.8 billion in 2025 and is projected to expand to $23.6 billion by 2034. Highlighting Kenya’s role in this growth, World Bank data shows national health spending reached 5.76% of GDP in 2026, with health expenditure per capita sitting at $327.76.
The 2026 edition reflects major commercial expansion across key operational metrics:
-
Exhibitor & Floor Growth: Expecting over 200 exhibitors from 30+ countries across a 4,500 sqm show floor—representing an 81% year-on-year footprint increase.
-
Attendance & Global Reach: Projecting more than 5,500 attendees, with international visitors accounting for 40% of total participation.
-
Commercial Track Record: Building on the 2025 edition, which generated an estimated $84.19 million in total business deals.
-
Sector Coverage: Spanning eight dedicated product categories, including digital health, imaging and diagnostics, laboratory technology, medical devices, orthopedics, and healthcare infrastructure.
Part of a broader African portfolio spanning Nairobi, Lagos, and Johannesburg, WHX Nairobi leverages Kenya’s trade corridors to address the region’s reliance on imported medical devices and critical supplies.
