Crest Africa Names 50 African Entrepreneurs Shaping the Continent’s Future in 2026

Crest Africa has unveiled its Top 50 African Entrepreneurs Defining the Continent’s Future in 2026, spotlighting founders whose businesses are tackling challenges, creating jobs and opening new opportunities across Africa.

The recognition brings together entrepreneurs working across a wide range of industries, including technology, healthcare, agriculture, education, artificial intelligence, climate innovation, logistics, real estate, fashion and professional services.

Rather than focusing solely on company size or financial performance, the initiative highlights entrepreneurs whose work is producing wider economic and social impact.

Among the Nigerians recognised is Uzoma Onwudinjo, Founder and Executive Director of the Global Centre for Executive Excellence and Founder of Iconium Consulting Agency.

Through her work in executive education and institutional development, Onwudinjo has supported the professional development of more than 1,000 executives. Her programmes have reached senior figures across government and the public sector, including ministers, federal commissioners, legislators, senior officials and heads of courts. Her executive education work has also extended beyond Nigeria to countries including the United Kingdom, France, Morocco, Rwanda and the United Arab Emirates.

Another honouree, Margaret Obasi, is the Founder and CEO of Maziza, a Nigerian food manufacturing company focused on turning indigenous African crops into functional food products.

Obasi, a clinical nutritionist and former Nestlé executive, combines food science with manufacturing and agricultural value creation. Her company is developing products aimed at supporting the prevention and management of diabetes and other non-communicable diseases while creating opportunities within local agricultural supply chains.

The technology sector is represented by Samuel Aleonomoh, Founder and CEO of RolepilotAI. The software engineer is building an artificial intelligence-powered career platform designed to help African professionals develop digital skills, prepare for employment and gain better access to opportunities in an increasingly technology-driven labour market.

Healthcare entrepreneur Sampson Agboola, Founder and CEO of imisi HealthCARE LTD, is also included in the ranking. His company is developing AI-powered healthcare infrastructure intended to improve how governments, insurers, healthcare providers and employers manage and deliver healthcare services.

Agboola’s work also includes Confam Health, a micro-health insurance product developed with a focus on expanding access to affordable healthcare coverage for underserved Nigerians and operating within the framework of the National Health Insurance Authority.

The creative sector features Rhoda Ogbeide, Founder of Lhaude Africa. Her organisation works with creative entrepreneurs through education, community-building and international trade initiatives, including projects linking Nigerian businesses with markets such as China, the United States and India.

Together, the 50 honourees represent the growing diversity of African entrepreneurship. Their companies span established industries and emerging fields, with founders developing solutions in areas ranging from agriculture and healthcare to cybersecurity, artificial intelligence, climate technology, media and logistics.

Crest Africa said the initiative is intended to draw attention not just to entrepreneurial achievement, but also to the broader impact businesses can have on communities and economies.

The 2026 recognition follows earlier Crest Africa initiatives, including Leaders Shaping Africa 2025, Top 50 Voices in African Tech 2025, and Power 100: The UK’s Most Influential African Entrepreneurs.

Through these programmes, the platform has continued to document individuals whose work is contributing to Africa’s development across leadership, technology, business and entrepreneurship.

The latest list ultimately reflects a broader shift in African enterprise, with founders increasingly building businesses around local challenges while targeting opportunities beyond their home markets.

For Crest Africa, the aim is to give these entrepreneurs greater visibility while encouraging partnerships, investment, collaboration and the emergence of a new generation of African business leaders.

The full profiles of the 50 entrepreneurs are available through Crest Africa, detailing the businesses and initiatives behind this year’s recognition.
