Flying to Zimbabwe’s premier tourist hotspots is about to get much easier.
Gulf carrier Etihad Airways has signed a new partnership deal with regional carrier Fastjet Zimbabwe. Instead of travelers having to book separate, disjointed flights to get past the capital city of Harare, this new agreement merges both airlines into a single ticketing system.
Starting August 24, 2026, passengers can book a single ticket that takes them from anywhere on Etihad’s global network, through Abu Dhabi, and directly onto Fastjet flights heading to Bulawayo, Victoria Falls, or even Johannesburg.
The alliance is a clever warm-up act. Etihad is already planning to launch direct flights between Abu Dhabi and Harare in March 2027. By linking up with Fastjet now, the Middle Eastern giant secures an instant domestic feed to fill its planes, while giving Zimbabwean travelers a seamless one-stop gateway to Europe, Asia, and the Middle East.
