Digital Parks Africa has announced Nigeria Data Centre 1, a new facility designed for a market where businesses, financial institutions, banks, cloud providers and connectivity providers demand infrastructure that is ultra-reliable, resilient, flexible and geographically close to the customers they serve.
NDC1 forms part of the DPA portfolio and is being built to give businesses a stronger, more resilient platform for ultra-critical digital services, cloud access, connectivity and data-driven offerings as demand continues to climb.
The group says it understands the extreme challenges Nigeria and Africa present and has designed the facility specifically to meet those conditions — with the promise of protecting clients and partners in a way no other facility in the region does.
NDC1 marks a significant evolution in the group’s long-standing presence in Nigeria, which stretches back to 2001. It signals the next phase of that commitment: extending from the group’s established power and technical expertise into data centre services. The announcement was made officially at ITW Africa in Kenya on 8 September 2026.
Building on an Established Presence
Menno Parsons, founder and CEO of Digital Parks Africa, said the new development reflects a long-term commitment to Nigeria and the wider African digital economy.
“Our investment in Nigeria is much more than a new facility. It is the next step in our longstanding commitment to the region, and for our broader vision for Africa’s digital future. Over the last two decades operating in Nigeria, we have a clear understanding of the market and of the need for infrastructure that can keep pace with businesses and the growing digital ecosystem. Through NDC1, we are building on that foundation and strengthening our ability to enable an increasingly connected African economy.”
