Lagos is gearing up for its most exciting festive season yet, and Access Bank is stepping into the spotlight with the launch of Detty Fusion—a bold new platform designed to energize, support, and showcase the city’s thriving creative and entertainment ecosystem. More than just an event directory, Detty Fusion is positioned as a hub that unites creators, SMEs, event organizers, and fun-seekers under one seamless digital experience, strengthening the bank’s long-standing commitment to community growth and cultural development.
Unveiled through a strategic partnership with the Lagos State Ministry of Tourism, Arts and Culture, Detty Fusion aims to make December in Lagos safer, smoother, and more enjoyable than ever. The platform brings together curated entertainment listings, simple ticketing options, exclusive rewards, and secure payment channels—giving residents and visitors a reliable, centralized guide to the city’s festive offerings.
According to Ishmael Nwokocha, Access Bank’s Head of Mobility Business, the initiative represents more than a seasonal project; it’s an investment in the people and the pulse of Lagos. “Detty Fusion is our way of lifting up the creative community, amplifying local talent, and celebrating the culture that makes Lagos unlike any other city,” he explained. “We’re creating opportunities, not just aggregating events.”
The timing could not be better. Lagos—already regarded as Nigeria’s creative and entertainment capital—is preparing for a December packed with concerts, art shows, fashion experiences, and cultural festivals. With the Lagos State Government on board, the Detty Fusion platform is expected to support safer event coordination, boost tourism, enhance crowd management, and stimulate small-business growth across the city’s bustling creative corridors.
Idris Aregbe, Special Adviser to the Governor on Tourism, Arts and Culture, noted that the partnership aligns perfectly with Lagos State’s THEMES agenda, which focuses on tourism expansion, job creation, and improved urban experiences. He emphasized that Detty Fusion will contribute significantly to positioning Lagos as Africa’s ultimate December destination.
The Ministry’s Permanent Secretary, Mrs. Adebopo Oyekan-Ismaila, also commended Access Bank for its forward-thinking investment in tourism infrastructure, describing the collaboration as a powerful step toward delivering a festive season defined by organization, safety, and world-class entertainment.
As part of the rollout, Access Bank will co-brand several major December events—including Lagos Cultural Week, creative exhibitions, and fashion showcases—ensuring that Detty Fusion becomes a central thread in the city’s holiday experience. With enhanced visibility, better logistics, and stronger community support, this December in Lagos is set to reach new heights of excitement and cultural vibrancy.
With Detty Fusion at the forefront, Lagos is not just preparing for another festive season—it’s setting a new benchmark for celebration, creativity, and urban innovation across Africa.
